Arkansas State University faculty, staff and students are trained on how to handle an Active Shooter situation.  As for the 1:00 session of the Making Connections class, they had to put their training to use during the Active Shooter situation Thursday afternoon.

KASU's Mike Doyle and Mark Smith sat down with Heather Lemon of A-State's Wilson Advising Center.  She was teaching the Making Connections class at the time the Active Shooter Protocol was activated by ASU officials.

She recounts her experience during the lockdown and how her and the students used their training to stay safe.
