Downtown Corridor Committee Works To Connect A-State with Downtown Jonesboro

Jonesboro Unlimited and Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce

A committee has been formed to determine the best use of property that is owned by the city of Jonesboro on Aggie.  The former Wolverine property is being looked at by a committee to see how it could be used to connect Downtown Jonesboro and Arkansas State University.  The committee is holding a series of meetings.  I talked to Vice President of  Economic Development for Jonesboro Unlimited Mike Downing about the downtown corridor.  Downing says the committee was appointed by Jonesboro Mayor Harold Perrin

After the committee holds several meetings, they will make a recommendation to the Jonesboro City Council on what to do with that area on how to connect Arkansas State with Downtown Jonesboro.  Click on the Listen butter for the entire interview.
