'Fall' in Love with Arkansas - Episode 9/16

As the leaves begin to change colors, it's time to enjoy the Natural State in one of the most beautiful seasons ever created: Fall.

Travel Writer Kim Williams takes you on an audio tour of Arkansas to get a glimpse of some of the fun activities taking place.  Join Williams as she lets you in on one of the largest yard sales you'll ever find.  If you feel like rockin', then a town in Northeast Arkansas along Rockin' Highway 67 will show you a good time.  Or, you can stop by the Main Street in another Arkansas town for a little music and fun.

If you're looking for some adventure, then Williams will tell you about a giant maze made out of a corn field.  If you're looking for adventure that will chill your spine, then Williams will tell you about a bone-chilling fun activity in a place called Pumpkin Hallow.  If none of those things will work for you, then take a trip to Village Creek and enjoy a nice trail ride while supporting Le Bonher Children's Hospital.

Featured stops in this episode include Wynne, Augusta, Newport, Searcy, and Marshall.

A graduate of the radio-television program at A-State, Mark Smith earned his degree in broadcasting in 1986 and received a Master of Public Administration in 2015. He actually started in radio in 1982, just out of high school, with a part-time summer job at KBXM, a small AM station in Kennett, Mo. After his freshman year at Arkansas State, he landed another summer job at KBOA/KTMO in Kennett and continued to work weekends there while attending college.
