UPDATE: A-State Closed Friday, Band Clinic Rescheduled, Track Meet Continues

  JONESBORO – Arkansas State University is closed on Friday, Jan. 22, due to winter weather. All classes in Jonesboro and at the Paragould campus are cancelled.  Online courses continue.  A-State offices are closed.  University essential personnel will report to work Friday.

Students are encouraged to check their official A-State student email accounts as well as the Blackboard shells for their courses for materials or updates from their professors.

The Region 5 band clinic at Fowler Center scheduled for Friday and Saturday is now rescheduled to next week, Jan. 29-30.

The A-State Invitational indoor track meet scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the A-State Convocation Center will continue as scheduled.  The High School portion of the meet is canceled due to weather conditions.

While offices and classes are closed, the university’s residential life areas, including Acansa Dining Hall, Red WOLF Center and Dean B. Ellis Library continue to operate to support the on-campus student population.  Acansa Dining will open at 10 a.m. and follow its regular Friday brunch hours.  Red WOLF Center also opens at noon.  Ellis Library will open from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Friday.
