Unbelievable Happiness and Final Sorrow Book Signing

A book detailing the life of Pauline Pfeiffer, the second wife of Ernest Hemingway, has been released.  Dr. Ruth Hawkins is the author of "Unbelievable Happiness and Final Sorrow".  The book details the role Pfeiffer had in Hemingway's career.  KASU's Johnathan Reaves talks with Hawkins about the book in this report. 

Dr. Hawkins will be at Arkansas State University's Cooper Alumni Center on Tuesday, August 28th from 3:30 to 5:30 for a book reading and book signing.

Interstate rehabilitation starts this fall

Bids will be awarded next month on the first projects that will make up a major interstate rehabilitation project in Arkansas.  Over 450 miles of interstate highways, including all of Interstate 55 from West Memphis to the Missouri Bootheel, will be rebuilt over the next couple of years.  KASU's Johnathan Reaves tells more.

Johnny Cash Boyhood Home update

Work on the restoration of Johnny Cash's Boyhood home in Dyess continues.  The Second Annual Johnny Cash Music Festival takes place on Friday, October fifth at the Convocation Center in Jonesboro.  Proceeds from the concert goes back into work on the home.  KASU's Johnathan Reaves talks with Dr. Ruth Hawkins.
