Jake Kennedy and his wife founded Boston’s Christmas in the City, one of the biggest volunteer events in the world for homeless children and their families.

Kennedy, who was 65, died Tuesday from Lou Gehrig’s disease — the same disease that took his dad and younger brother in years prior.

Host Robin Young remembers Kennedy and his charitable work.
