Arkansas is the only state in the U-S where tenants can face criminal charges for not paying rent, and new reporting finds Arkansans are still being evicted, charged and even jailed, despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
KUAR spoke with a team of journalists from ProPublica and the Arkansas Nonprofit News Network who investigated the state’s criminal eviction statute in a new article.
