UK Approves Vaccine, Marking Pandemic Milestone

Nursing home residents and frontline health care workers will be the first to get the vaccine approved by the United Kingdom. The U.K. is the first country in the world to reach this pandemic milestone, which comes on a day when there’s really a mixed picture around the world on COVID-19.

Cases continue to surge across the U.S. On Wednesday, Poland joined 12 other countries with more than 1 million cases. But in India, infections are declining.
