Pandemic Puts Open Offices In New Perspective

If you’ve worked in a modern office building, you’ve probably worked in an open office. That means most workers don’t get their own private room, they’ll likely get a desk or maybe a cubicle underneath acoustic ceiling tiles with those bright fluorescent lights.

And all around, there are distractions — coworkers on the phones, managers having standup meetings, someone has a birthday or brings in donuts. Now, many of us are working from home, and we’re beginning to see the old open office design in a whole new way.
