Johnson & Johnson COVID vaccination clinics cancelled in Arkansas, Missouri

Scheduled COVID vaccination clinics at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center Family Practice in Paragould, the Craighead County Local Health Unit, and the Pemiscot County Health Center have been cancel on Tuesday.

The cancellations come as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention earlier placed a hold on the Johnson & Johnson vaccine after reports of blood clots.

AMMC said that they will offer the Moderna vaccine on Saturday.

The Pemiscot County Health Center said on their Facebook page they will resume vaccinations after clearance from state and federal health officials.

Meanwhile, there are other opportunities to receive either the Moderna or Pfizer coronavirus vaccines on Tuesday.

  • NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, a KASU financial supporter, says their Delta Care-A-Van will be at the Batesville High School Gym from noon until 4 P.M. to administer the vaccine. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 870-680-8880 or 870-793-0617.

  • CVS says they will begin to offer the COVID vaccinations at their Jonesboro and Paragould locations beginning on Wednesday. The company says eligible patients can schedule an appointment at CVS.com, through the CVS Pharmacy app, or by calling customer service at 800-746-7287.
