Amnesty to be given to Northeast Arkansans wanted for writing bad checks
Second Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney Keith Chrestman will offer amnesty to individuals who are wanted for writing hot checks.
Hot Check Amnesty Day is scheduled for Friday, December 10 at the Craighead County Courthouse Annex in courtroom 4B from 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M.
The press release says that offenders will not be taken into custody, but will be given an opportunity to either pay the outstanding checks and fees or be served with a warrant and given a new court date. The prosecuting attorney's office says no one will be brought into custody if they appear for the amnesty day.
