The sweet notes of jazz will be heard on Tuesday, June 4th for the start of a four part Summer Concert Series at the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library this June. The library hosts free concerts each Tuesday night in June beginning at 6:30 p.m. The concerts feature local musicians to highlight talented individuals who live in this area.
June 4th: Gary Gazaway and Lisa Ahia
June 11th: Tony Spinner
June 18th: TRIPPP
June 25th: Fullness of Joy Singers
The concerts are held on the front lawn of the library, located at 315 West Oak Avenue in Jonesboro. The library will set out a limited number of chairs. You’re encouraged to bring lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on while you enjoy the music. With the hot temperatures, there are ways to help you cool down while you watch the concerts - Andy’s Frozen Custard and Newk’s Eatery are sponsors of the concerts and will be giving away cups of frozen custard and iced tea! The library will also supply cold bottled water. The jazz concert is sponsored by Holliday Development and Management.
All of the summer events for the library can be found on their website at www.libraryinjonesboro.org/events where you can see events for all 8 branches of the Crowley Ridge Regional Library including Jonesboro, Weiner, Harrisburg, Marked Tree, Lepanto, Caraway, Monette and Lake City.
