Arkansas Department of Education, A-State Hold Signing Ceremonies

Recently, the Arkansas Department of Education held teacher signing ceremonies at Arkansas State University to celebrate teachers who were signing certificates to get ready to go into the classroom. 

KASU’s Brandon Tabor was at the signing ceremony and talked with two students.  Addison Kruse is specializing in Middle Level Education for History and English and non-traditional student Amber Puckett  is specializing on Middle Level Education for Language Arts and History.  They talk about their decisions to go into teaching and telling about their thoughts on the recent teacher signing ceremonies that were held at Arkansas State University.

Johnathan Reaves is the News Director for KASU Public Radio. As part of an Air Force Family, he moved to Arkansas from Minot, North Dakota in 1986. He was first bitten by the radio bug after he graduated from Gosnell High School in 1992. While working on his undergraduate degree, he worked at KOSE, a small 1,000 watt AM commercial station in Osceola, Arkansas. Upon graduation from Arkansas State University in 1996 with a degree in Radio-Television Broadcast News, he decided that he wanted to stay in radio news. He moved to Stuttgart, Arkansas and worked for East Arkansas Broadcasters as news director and was there for 16 years.
A Northeast Arkansas native from Wynne, I’ve been involved with radio for about 15 years. I got my Bachelor of Arts degree from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, where I also served as an award-winning News Director for 2 years at KSWH-LP.
