Craighead County Judge Hill not running for reelection

Wikipedia

Craighead County Judge Ed Hill says he will not run for reelection.  Hill made the statement on his Facebook pageThursday.

In the post, he said he plans to continue serving out his term which ends on December 31, 2018.  Hill told the Jonesboro Sun the reason why he decided not to run again was that he “had a lot going on in his life”. On Facebook, he said plans to remain active by considering “other options related to [the] elected office.”

This is Hill’s 7th year serving as Craighead County Judge.  According to craigheadcounty.org, prior to serving as county judge, he served 2 years a Justice of the Peace for District 8.

Before entering politics, Hill spent 33 years with the Road Department.  During that time, in 1991 he was promoted to Road Superintendent.
