Festival Fun -10/21 Weekend

Arkansas is hosting a variety of fun activities for all types of people- from musicals and wine festivals to corn mazes and haunts!

Travel Writer Kim Williams highlights some family-friendly events happening around Northeast Arkansas. If you or your kids love farm animals, hay mazes, and more fun activities, Williams has the perfect event for you.

Williams also has information on haunted houses, zombie shoot-ups, and a nighttime zip-line for the thrill-seekers.

We'll also go to an annual harvest festival with food, antique cars and farm equipment, live entertainment, and more.

Featured stops in this episode include Corning, Augusta, Piggott, Jonesboro, and Wiederkehr Village.

A graduate of the radio-television program at A-State, Mark Smith earned his degree in broadcasting in 1986 and received a Master of Public Administration in 2015. He actually started in radio in 1982, just out of high school, with a part-time summer job at KBXM, a small AM station in Kennett, Mo. After his freshman year at Arkansas State, he landed another summer job at KBOA/KTMO in Kennett and continued to work weekends there while attending college.
