Associate Professor of medicine at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University Dr. Darren Sommer was honored with the 2019 Innovation Hero Award. He won the award for the work that he has done to integrate telemedicine technology into the health care experience. He also developed a curriculum at NYIT at A-State to teach students telemedicine. KASU's Johnathan Reaves talked to Dr. Sommer through telemedicine. He joined Reaves from Ohio and was recorded from NYIT at the A-State Campus in Jonesboro. He tells what telemedicine is.
