A-State Chancellor: Coronavirus Update March 20

Arkansas State University

The following is an email update from the ASU-Jonesboro Chancellor's Office as of Friday, March 20 at 9 A.M.

Logging Hours Worked by On-Campus Staff

Any employees who use Time Tracker to log hours and who are reporting to work on campus should continue to use the system.  Only employees working remotely should not use the system.  Supervisors will need to continue to approve weekly logs of those using the system.

Also any hourly, non-full time employees will have to clock in order to receive payment.

Update to On-Campus Event Cancellations

Following up on our COVID-19 closures, postponements, and changes in events, Arkansas State is making the following additional changes.

Effective today:

  • Extending the previously annouced policy, Arkansas State will cancel all nonessential events and gatherings of more than 10 people until Thursday, April 30.  The previous guidance was 50 people and until April 13.
  • To allign with the Governor's request, all dining areas associated with food operations are closed.
  • Conference events scheduled for the next month are cancelled on their published dates, but may be rescheduled for later this year.  Consult the university calendar on the main website and the university news feed for more details.
  • If you have a question about if an event is still scheduled, email news@AState.edu.
