Plans are underway for the 20-19 Delta Symposium at Arkansas State University.  This annual event brings together scholars from around the world to examine the unique history and culture of the Mississippi River delta.  Proposals are now being taken for presenters for next year’s event.  Dr.

Arkansas Roots Music Festival Planned In Jonesboro

JONESBORO – KASU and the Department of English, Philosophy and World Languages at Arkansas State University, together with the West End Neighborhood Association, will present the Arkansas Roots Music Festival Saturday, April 14.

The festival will begin at 12 noon at Jonesboro’s City, Water, and Light Park at 1123 S. Culberhouse St.  In case of rain, the festival will move to A-State’s Humanities and Social Science Building, Auditorium 1028. 

23rd Delta Symposium Focuses on "Community"

2016 Delta Symposium to focus on Cultural Heritage

The 22nd Delta Symposium takes place April 13th through the 16th at Arkansas State University, with the Saturday afternoon events taking place at CWL Park in Jonesboro.  The theme for this year's symposium is "Representing Cultural Heritage".  KASU's Johnathan Reaves talks with the symposium's chairman Dr. Gregory Hansen about this event.  Listen to the full interview by clicking the button.
