Spirit Fitness, a company that builds residential and commercial fitness equipment, has announced plans to expand the company’s operation in Jonesboro with the addition of a new facility in Jonesboro’s Craighead Technology Park. When complete, Spirit’s $10 million investment will create approximately 40-50 new jobs.

Runoffs in Craighead County include the race for Jonesboro City Clerk between Linda Allison and April Leggett. Unofficial totals from the Secretary of State's office showed that Allison received 48.31% (11,894) of the vote, while Leggett earned 37.01% (9,111).
