Arkansas-based Arvest Bank says this summer they are closing their Joneboro branch on East Johnson Avenue.
Content Partners Talk Business and Politics reported on Wednesdaythat the closure is among 31 branch closures occurring across Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma.
Company officials said "a limited number of associates" would be affected by the changes. However, officials declined to say exactly how many would be impacted.
Arvest says the branches will officially close on Wednesday, June 30.
The company is also planning to build 8 new facilities, remodel 15 others, and update their ATM systems.
Arvest operates over 270 branches across Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas.
