Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's talent propelled him into an upper class life. He performed in castles and cathedrals and had orchestras and entire opera companies at his disposal.

At the same time that Mozart's music was premiering in European courts, the American Revolution was taking place in the New World. As a part of our continuing Mozart birthday series, we take a look at how the music of colonial America compared to the classical composer's European experience.
