Tyson Foods joins Walmart in requiring employees to get COVID vaccine

Tyson Foods is the latest Arkansas-based company strongly encouraging their employees to get the COVID vaccine.

The Springdale-based company announced on Tuesday that all team members at their U.S. office locations must be fully vaccinated by October 1.

Meanwhile, other team members will have until November 1 to be fully vaccinated.

Officials are also offering a $200 incentive for it's frontline workers to get the vaccine.

If they get vaccinated outside of their normal shift, workers will also be compensated for up to four hours of pay.

On July 30, Bentonville-based Walmart mandated their corporate staff and regional managers to be fully vaccinated by October 4, while offering at $150 incentive for other associates to get the vaccine.

The incentive is an increase from the $75 that had been originally offered to associates.
