UPDATED: Police cancels silver alert for missing Paragould man

Carl Dennis Shye, 63, was last seen near a wooded area at 2101 Tallwood Dr. in Paragould on Monday night. Police activated a silver alert for him.

Authorities in Greene County have deactivated a silver alert for a Paragould man who went missing Monday night.

Police said that Carl Dennis Shye, 63, was last seen near a wooded area at 2101 Tallwood Drive in Paragould around 6:30 Monday night.

KASU News received word that Arkansas State Police deactivated the alert around 8:54 Tuesday morning.

Content partners KAIT reports that Shye was found safe and was taken to a local hospital.
