A collaboration between Arkansas State University and MFA Oil Biomass means biofuel production is taking place in northeast Arkansas. The source of the fuel is a species of Asian grass called miscanthus. It is a sterile hybrid, non-invasive plant that has been used for biofuel production in Europe. Thousands of acres of the plant have been planted in the region and more is expected. KASU's Johnathan Reaves explains in this report.
