Everyone is accounted for after a possible tornado caused damage in Caraway last night. Craighead County Sheriff Marty Boyd tells KAIT television several homes, businesses and the First Baptist Church in Caraway were damaged. Some farm shops and grain bins also were hit hard, and there were numerous trees and power lines down. Boyd says an immediate curfew was imposed overnight and a command post was established at the Caraway City Hall. After going door to door, Boyd reported there were no injuries and no one killed. An emergency shelter has been established at a local church and the Riverside Public Schools are not in session today. Storm damage was also reported in Monette from damaging winds, as well as Ripley County in the Bootheel of Missouri. There are reports of downed trees and power lines near Naylor, Missouri. No reports of deaths or injuries across the region after last night’s severe storms.
