Cash Residents to Vote on General Improvement Sales Tax

Residents in Cash, AR are preparing to vote on a 1% sales tax for general improvements to the town.

Mayor of Cash Michael Cureton tells KASU News he hopes the sales tax will provide another source of income for the town and will bring improvements.

If it passes, the tax will likely go into effect in the next fiscal year.

Early voting for the tax runs Tuesday, December 1st until Monday, December 7th at the Craighead County Clerk’s office in the Courthouse in Jonesboro.

The general election will be held on Tuesday, December 8th.
