Governor Hutchinson makes 6 local appointments

Governor Asa Hutchinson has just released his latest appointments on various commissions.  6 people from the KASU listening area have been appointed.  Check out the latest list from the Governor's office here:

– Governor Asa Hutchinson today announced the following appointments:

Kelly Bryant, Pine Bluff, to the Arkansas Minority Health Commission. Appointment expires January 31, 2018. Replaces Willie McGhee.

Jack Crumbly, Widener, to the Arkansas Minority Health Commission. Appointment expires January 31, 2018. Replaces Raul Blasini.

Sederick Rice, Pine Bluff, to the Arkansas Minority Health Commission. Appointment expires January 31, 2018. Replaces Carmen Paniagua.

Mayor David Morris, Searcy, to the Board of Trustees of the Arkansas Public Employees Retirement Systems. Appointment expires March 9, 2022. Reappointment.

Henry Kinslow, El Dorado, to the Arkansas State Claims Commission. Appointment expires January 14, 2021. Replaces Harry Moore.

Carmen Smith, Jonesboro, to the Trauma Advisory Council. Appointment expires July 1, 2017. Replaces Kathryn Blackman.

Cliff McKinney, Benton, to the Old State House Commission. Appointment expires March 19, 2025. Replaces Robert Tucker.

Toni Roy, Little Rock, to the Governor’s Developmental Disabilities Council. Appointment expires at the Will of the Governor.

Shannon Blatt, Fort Smith, as a Special Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas.  CR-15-618 State of Arkansas v. Vann Bragg. Replaces Justice Robin Wynne, who has disqualified himself from the case.

 

Johnathan Reaves is the News Director for KASU Public Radio. As part of an Air Force Family, he moved to Arkansas from Minot, North Dakota in 1986. He was first bitten by the radio bug after he graduated from Gosnell High School in 1992. While working on his undergraduate degree, he worked at KOSE, a small 1,000 watt AM commercial station in Osceola, Arkansas. Upon graduation from Arkansas State University in 1996 with a degree in Radio-Television Broadcast News, he decided that he wanted to stay in radio news. He moved to Stuttgart, Arkansas and worked for East Arkansas Broadcasters as news director and was there for 16 years.
