More Government Appointments in Northeast Arkansas

Governor Asa Hutchinson announced on Wednesday 30 more appointments to various state boards and commission.  4 are from Northeast Arkansas, which includes Jack Crumbly from Widner, Mayor David Morris from Searcy, Carmen Smith from Jonesboro, and Jim Gates from Walnut Ridge. 

The complete list of appointments and their terms can be seen below:

  • Kelly Bryant, Pine Bluff, to the Arkansas Minority Health Commission. Appointment expires January 31, 2018. Replaces Willie McGhee.
  • Jack Crumbly, Widener, to the Arkansas Minority Health Commission. Appointment expires January 31, 2018. Replaces Raul Blasini.
  • Sederick Rice, Pine Bluff, to the Arkansas Minority Health Commission. Appointment expires January 31, 2018. Replaces Carmen Paniagua.
  • Mayor David Morris, Searcy, to the Board of Trustees of the Arkansas Public Employees Retirement Systems. Appointment expires March 9, 2022. Reappointment.
  • Henry Kinslow, El Dorado, to the Arkansas State Claims Commission. Appointment expires January 14, 2021. Replaces Harry Moore.
  • Carmen Smith, Jonesboro, to the Trauma Advisory Council. Appointment expires July 1, 2017. Replaces Kathryn Blackman.
  • Cliff McKinney, Benton, to the Old State House Commission. Appointment expires March 19, 2025. Replaces Robert Tucker.
  • Sergeant Allen Hamby, Bryant, to the Law Enforcement Officers’ Memorial Design Committee. Appointment expires at the Will of the Governor. Replaces J.J. Martin.

  • Shannon Blatt, Fort Smith, as a Special Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas.  CR-15-618 State of Arkansas v. Vann Bragg. Replaces Justice Robin Wynne, who has disqualified himself from the case.
