UPDATE: Arkansas State Police Lt. Brant Tosh tells KAIT the report is a false alarm as of 8:26 am.

Black River Technical College officials in Pocahontas are advising people to avoid going to campus due to unconfirmed reports of an active shooter.
The college has released Tweets and Facebook posts advising people to avoid the area as police are investigating the scene. KASU has reached out to the Pocahontas Police Department who has said that the department has not received any alerts but do have officers on the scene.
BRTC Pocahontas is still on lockdown. Do not go back to campus yet.
