Arkansans prepare for tax free holiday weekend

Arkansans going back-to-school shopping will be able to save money this weekend during the annual Sales Tax holiday.

The Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration says the holiday will start Saturday, August 7 at 12:01 A.M. and end on Sunday night at 11:59 P.M.

Shoppers during that time will not be assessed state or local sales taxes on eligible items including, electronic devises, school supplies, school art supplies, school instruction materials, and clothing.

Below is a full list from the department's website of what qualifies as being tax-exempt during the holiday.
