In an ongoing discussion surrounding medical marijuana in Arkansas, the state's Medical Marijuana Commission has recently granted approval for NEA Full Spectrum's request to relocate its dispensary.

Data from the DFA shows Texas and California as the leading states where new Arkansas residents came from in 2022.

The previously estimated Arkansas budget surplus of $1.473 billion grew to a record $1.628 billion, which resulted in Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Tuesday (July 5) calling for an Aug. 8 special session to discuss possible tax cuts.

With all key tax categories showing year-over-year gains through 11 months of Arkansas’ fiscal year, state officials project a fiscal-year end budget surplus of $1.473 billion, according to Thursday’s (June 2) revenue report from the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (DFA).
