About a month after Camfil announced they were expanding into a new Jonesboro facility, the air pollution manufacturer says their temporary location in Trumann was hit by Friday's tornado.
KAIT reports that company officials said the Trumann facility was used to help continue production while the Jonesboro facility was being repaired after it was hit by a tornado in March 2020.
Officials said no injuries or fatalities were reported from Friday's tornado, but the facility took some damage and employees can work in other areas of the building.
On November 4, Camfil broke ground on a new $37 million facility being built in the Craighead Technical Park, according to content partners Talk Business and Politics. Officials said the 290,000-square-foot facility is expected to create 67 new jobs within 5 years.
It will be completed summer or early Fall 2022.
