Numerous Roads Closed Due to Flooding

Several county roads in the area are still closed due to the weekend flooding in the region. According to Jeff Presley with Jonesboro E911, Highway 230 from Highway 91 in Lawrence County to Highway 63 in Craighead County is now closed down due to high water.   Other areas include a road washing away into a ditch about 1/2 mile East down County Road 774 from Hwy 141.  County Roads 905 and 910 are also reported to be closed due to high water.  The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department also reports that high water has caused a six mile section of Highway 37 near Grubbs to shut down in Jackson County, as well as a six-mile section of Highway 226 and a seven mile section of Highway 224 in Jackson County.  Highway 230 near the Cache River in Lawrence County is shut down due to high water and a section of Highway 166 near Stokes in Randolph County is also closed due to high water.  Authorities are also reminding you to use caution this morning due to low level fog and standing water on some roadways.  Small ponds of water can cause cars to hydroplane.
