Early voting information for 2016 runoff election in Craighead County

Four aldermen positions are up for grabs in runoff elections that will be held after Thanksgiving. 

In Black Oak, Daniel Carmichael faces Tim Jones for Position 1. 

In Brookland, Melinda Burcham and Martin Crain are running for Ward 3, Position 1.   

In Jonesboro, Terry Sharp faces Gene Vance in Ward 2, Position 2. 

In Monette, Tracey Yates Thompson and Kristian Nuckles are running for Ward 1, Position 2. 

Early voting takes place November 22nd,  November 23rd and November 28th at the Craighead County Clerk’s Office in Jonesboro and the Lake City City Hall from eight to five each day. 

The runoff election will take place on Tuesday, November 29th from 7:30 am to 7:30 p.m.  Here are the polling precints:

Early voting will be available from 8:00 o’clock a.m. to 5:00 o’clock p.m. from November 22, 2016 through November 23, 2016 and Monday November 28, 8:00 o’clock a.m. to 5:00 o’clock p.m. at the following locations:

Absentee voting will be conducted through the County Clerk's Office, 511 Main St., Suite 202, Jonesboro, Arkansas 72401, telephone 870-933-4520.

Early voting and absentee ballots will be opened, processed, canvassed and counted at 9:00 o’clock a.m., on November 29, 2016 at the following location:

Johnathan Reaves is the News Director for KASU Public Radio. As part of an Air Force Family, he moved to Arkansas from Minot, North Dakota in 1986. He was first bitten by the radio bug after he graduated from Gosnell High School in 1992. While working on his undergraduate degree, he worked at KOSE, a small 1,000 watt AM commercial station in Osceola, Arkansas. Upon graduation from Arkansas State University in 1996 with a degree in Radio-Television Broadcast News, he decided that he wanted to stay in radio news. He moved to Stuttgart, Arkansas and worked for East Arkansas Broadcasters as news director and was there for 16 years.
